- USENIX WOOT Conference on Offensive Technologies (WOOT) 2024
The 18th USENIX WOOT Conference on Offensive Technologies (WOOT ’24) is scheduled to convene on August 12–13, 2024, at the Philadelphia Downtown Marriott in Philadelphia, PA, USA, alongside USENIX Security ’24. With the aim of presenting a holistic view of offense and its role in computer security, WOOT ’24 serves as a gathering point for researchers and practitioners across diverse sectors. Over the years, offensive security has evolved from a niche interest to a thriving industry, marked by the involvement of startups, mobile technologies, and national signals intelligence agencies. Originally established in 2007 as the Workshop on Offensive Technologies, WOOT has evolved to reflect the changing landscape of offensive security, fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange among industry, academia, and independent hackers.
